Spring Will Start With Stormy Weather, But Will We See Snow?

While the potential for accumulating snowfall from an early week storm still exists for the area, there's now an increasing chance the system will track south, with any possible snowfall totals limited as most of the storm's energy stays off the coast.

Spring starts at 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday, just as the coastal storm is expected to arrive.

The latest forecast, released Sunday morning by the National Weather Service, now calls for a chance of snow during a day on Tuesday in which the high temperature will reach the upper-30s. Some snow, along with a wintry mix, is possible Tuesday night with the overnight low around 30.

On Wednesday, there is a 40 percent chance of daytime snow, but with the high temperature for the day climbing to the 40-degree mark, any accumulation should not be significant.

The storm will move away on Thursday, which will be mostly cloudy and windy with a high around 40.

There remains some uncertainty about the storm's path and strength.
